Thanks for the warm welcome guys. It seems like a pretty awesome group of people here. I will definitely keep an eye out for that get together. It would be awesome to see people and their gear and just to ask questions.

I'm new to the scene so I'm taking the easy approach, the noob way, and using slap straps etc, until I get comfortable.

Welcome from Augusta GA. Be sure to join us at the next group hang. Better test your setup by hanging in the backyard on a cold night beforehand, though. :-)

Definitely will, I am placing my order for my HammockGear TQ and UQ tonight. So from reviews I hear I should be pretty good between that and other layers of clothing.

Welcome from Lawrenceville, GA. Once you're hooked, you're hooked. Just spent a weekend on the Pine Mountain Trail with some scouts and had a terrific night's sleep in my hammock. Nothing better!

Welcome from Northwest Arkansas. If you've already powered through all of Shug's videos, I'd recommend reading The Ultimate Hang by Derek Hansen (he posts here as Dejoha). It's a great introduction to hammock camping.
