We leave it that long because it is just easier to send it out at 15', it is so easy to trim from there that you can easily go 12 or 10 or whatever. Originally we were going to offer the different lengths but the cost is not that much different and this way allows everybody to customize to there liking and needs. Plus it gives me a bit of an ability to actually make a stock item.

I'm thinking of getting the cinch buckles with loops and straps. Are there any videos showing how to attach these to a HH explorer and cub? Also can these be used for the rainfly, or would two sets on one hammock setup not work? They just seem really easy and if it would work I may use them for both. Just asking cause I don't know!

You could pull a tarp really tight with cinch buckles, but play hell getting it loose. If you go this route, and I don't recommend it, put a marlinspike in there somewhere, so you can "pull the pin" and create slack.

    It is the same idea.
I don't think you want cinch buckles for your tarp. It is complete overkill and there are such better options like tarp flyz.

They are still pretty far out. I can make the TI body simple enough. It's the aluminum slider that is taking time

If they were smaller ,and made of ti,I could see one in each side of my ridge runner foot end suspension triangle. I am having great luck with two u c r's in mine.this gives me adjustment within the triangle shortening the distance between trees, and letting me get my tarp closed. I also find if I lengthen the ucr on the exit side of the hammock when i use it as chair mode it sure is more confy on the leg bite issue. As always keep up the great work you do, they look great.....peace

Cinch Buckles are now available at Dutchwaregear.com

I already had this image of a necklace with a bunch of dutch clips with various assorted ears from victims like in that Dolph Lundgreen movie he goes on a killing rampage in Vietnam. Lol
