I heard "A Walk in the Woods" by Bill Bryson was a pretty good book so I thought I would check it out.
If anyone is interested in the audiobook for either long stretches on the trail or in the office, or at home, let me know.

I've read it and listened to the audio book and it's laugh out loud funny. If you're not familar with this book, take Stormcrow up on his very kind offer.
I'm interested. Sounds good.

“I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order.” - John Burroughs
Read the book and laugh, but don't believe a word of it!
I hiked that God forsaken Approach Trail because of that book. I was dying to see the 'cliff' Katz threw the coffee filters off of (FAVORITE PART OF THE BOOK); doesn't exist! At least, not anymore.
I went looking for the waitress in Franklin, but there are over 70 restaurants in that town.
"A walk in the woods" should be listed under "Humerous" &/or "Fiction" NOT "Travel" as I always see it.
Funny? Yes, but so is "Hitchikers Guide to the Universe" & at least "Guide" is properly listed under fiction.

I had to delete this post. See post #15

This sounds like a discussion you would read on WB. Minus all the Bryson haters.
Nothing against you on this one. More of a poke at all the crazyness on WB over this.
Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?
The hanger formly known as "hammock engineer".
Got it!
Worked like a charm
Thanks
Yeah, there are some characters over there that is for sure.
I just read in backpacker magazine (yes, the wife just started my subscription. So far there is a lot of fluff and a couple of decent articles) that this is one of the most recommended books, sooo...that's why I have it. Sounds like I might be worth a read. Or, I can at least listen to it while in the truck.
