    Winter sock material?

What kind of material would be best for a winter hammock sock? I saw some people have made them out of cotton, and others are making them out of ripstop, so I'm not sure what kind would be good. If cotton, then what kind, canvass? Thanks!

I found what I was looking for, just took a bit of searching magic. I'm looking for deep cold applications and it seems as though canvass would be the best from what I have found so far. Sounds like a thin cotton though, like bed sheet cotton and not heavy canvass, right?

How low have you taken that down to? Any issues with condensation?

    You are correct.

Bed sheets lack the dimensions you need, and are likely a little thin. They are also usually a cotton poly blend.

4 oz canvas like they sell at fabric stores will do fine.

Some of us have had difficulty finding 4 oz canvas. Can you point us to any online sources?

    Thanks.
