Shug, you are one crazy rascal! I wish you had been along on our Wind River trip last Sept. You would have very much helped complete the insanity quotient which is normally present on those trips.

Despite the insanity ( or maybe because of it), great report. We now have 2 video reports. But sweet spot or otherwise, how is the side sleeping? ( BTW, enjoyed your variation on Beatle's Black Bird, your's was an obvious improvement on an old favorite!)

Oh that is just a small shockcord loop I put on to hang stuff from. Usually I end up adding a few.

Hey Shug...You're a hoot!!! LOL Great video!! May have to buy a Blackbird.
Speaking of birds...do you know the song below? I play knock down style and play it in a weird tuning.
    Keep up the good work!!
    Qpens (AKA Bug Bait)

    Little birdie, little birdie
What makes you fly so high?
It's because I am a true little bird
And do not care to die.

    Little birdie, little birdie
What makes your head so red?
After all that I've been through
    It's a wonder that I am dead.

    Little birdie, little birdie
Come sing to me your song
I've a short time for to be here
And a long time to be gone.

Great video Shug! I like the extra space in the Blackbird especially for storing extra winter clothes. The double ended stuff sack is perfect. Weight ain't bad for all those features.

Shug, whatcha got under your hammock? Is that a pad and quilt or just a quilt??

Gotta go back for the outtakes!

I love that song and know it well. I like Ralph Stanley's version.
    What tuning do you use??

Enjoyed the antics, Shug. I also liked how you pointed out that you can be symmetric with your asymmetry (thems just big math words for you can lie with your feet to the left as well as to the right). The Blackbird suspension is symmetric, all the magic stuff about it lies above the waterline, so to speak. So while there is an "obvious" orientation for the asymmetric lay, the "below the waterline" part doesn't care. You get to go flat on either diagonal.

    Keep 'em coming!

I actually understood that. You must be great teacher ... is that what you do.
I accept the Clown Laureate nomination. Whatever that means.....

From Wikipedia (so it must be true)
A Clown Laureate is a clown officially appointed by a government and is often expected to compose comedic stage performances for State occasions and other government events. The plural form is clownae laureate.
In England, the term has for centuries been the title of the official jester of the monarch, appointed for life since the time of Charles II. Clownae laureate are appointed by many countries. In Britain there is also a Children's Laureate and in the United States there is a Student Clown Laureate.
