While on the trail this weekend, I thought "Wonder if our patio is wide enough for me to hang my hammock?" Measured when I got home. 12.5 feet corner to corner. This morning, I went to Wal Mart and grabbed a $4 set designed to hang porch swings (here's a link). Works great! I'm stoked to be able to test things at home, despite living in a 1BR apartment.

My back patio has 2 posts set at 11', plus my Turtledog stand... And a palm tree... plus the play structure....
Just not sure how many of those I can use simultaneously before I have some form of catastrophic failure...
