    Question Hawn State Park 3-5/6

Going to hawn state park for first time overnight in the hammock. I have all the items I need but the GF is going with me and ill give up the blackbird and sleep in the Eno Double with the UQ/TQ. She will use a CCF or reflictix pad between the double lined BB.
I have a mean dehydrated for night time and doing coffee and oatmeal in the morning.
As for water. I am using the sawyer all in one gravity filter. Do i still need to boil the water from the area? I have purifying tablets.

Where is a good place to stop and camp. We will leave @ noon on Friday to go down from STL. about 1 hour drive I am guessing. So we want to hike till its just enough time to setup camp. SO not sure how far that will get us into the woods or how far.
Any recommendations are all welcome. Then saturday we may head back or do the entire loop. What I dont wanna do is 1/2 mile in camp and walk 10 miles next day. Kinda wanna have a middle stopping point so we dont walk and tire out in one day.

You will have a great time .As far as the water goes filtering will be enough,I dont filter any more bleach works for me. When we went there on our last hang there was a nice camp site by a shallow cave cut in a stone wall about four miles in.Look to the trail on the right there is a fire ring there also. Watch for a fat oatmeal eating mouse,if you see him kick him in the butt and tell him I said hi

Sorry I will miss you- I am hanging over at the Perry Lake KS hang this weekend, otherwise I would have certainly come down
If you don't go let me know and maybe we can do next weekend

Looks like it was a great trip! I love Hawn; I've been going there for many many years! We did a group hang at Hawn not all that long ago. You'll have to try and come on a hang with us sometime!

Great that you can do this with your girlfriend!
