    Question Hammock hunting

Has anyone ever tried hunting from their hammock? I saw someone post a pick of their hammock chair hunting which gave me the idea.

Normally I'm at my side of the family for Thanksgiving and have a climbing stand there. But this year we're going over by my wife's side. It looks like I'll be most likely hunting from the edge of a small field.

Anyone have any experience or ideas? I have an extra blaze jacket to hang on the back so I'm not too camouflaged. How about hanging the tarp in high porch mode for snow protection?

You're a year ahead of me. Planning to work one out for both bow & rifle seasons. I think porch mode and any accumulation of snow would have the porch down on your head.
My thought on the hammock chair is to add a Crazy Creek type of chair for some back support. Need to work on an anti-napping system too.

They're only calling for a 30% chance of snow showers, so I don't think it'll be much more than a dusting.

I figure napping is what I do half the time and in a hammock is probably safer than 20 ft up a tree. Maybe that's why I don't get too many deer.

I've done it deer hunting and it doesn't work as well as you may think. It's very wobbly and unsafe to fire from the hammock. I honestly think it would be much more practical for turkey hunting or any hunting where it is better to be near the ground.
Another big problem is staying a wake while waiting for an animal to walk buy. lol

I do alot of hunting with my hammock, However I only use it in camp. I have this past summer taken a nap along the trails and photographed deer that have walked close to to me.
