I took it out on a couple of brief "backpacking trips" with my boys to show them how to set up a campsite. (Read that as I walked a little ways into a park a few times with my kids to set up the hammock, make hot chocolate, and eat lunch)
This is a fantastic pack. I can't say enough nice things about it! Though I never carried it any real distance, I can say that from the perspective of a guy who has used a LOT of packs, this one is great. It is lightweight, solidly built, and carries loads extremely comfortably. It's a size I'd use for a good 3-5 day outing. I'd classify it as a top-loader. It does have some side access zippers (which I honestly doubt I'd ever use). A really nice feature about it is it has a gear beavertail with a zippered compartment where I"d store my snivel gear. If I didn't really use my BIG pack the vast majority of the time (Mystery Ranch Grizzly), I'd be keeping this one. It's that nice. My only complaint about it is the lack of water bottle side sleeves. Anyway, I solved that issue with a Mystery Ranch Wet Rib.

I think it really makes the whole package complete so I'm sending it along with the pack. It's pretty slick the Z55 does have a water bladder sleeve in the main compartment with hose routing ports if you choose to use camelbacks or Source bladders.
The only reason I'm selling my Z55 with Wet Rib in the first place is because my two sons just joined a very active Cub Scout den and it's time to get them their first real backpacks of their own. So... I'm looking to defray the cost a bit. If I can get about $150 for it it would really help. I'll post pictures as soon as I find the charger for my camera battery.
