    Weight limit of ripstop

Planning on making a 1.9oz ripstop gathered end hammock. Will be using 1/8" whoopies and 1" webbing as tree straps. What weight limits would I be looking at? I have never hung in a ripstop hammock so I don't even know where to begin guessing

I'd guess that would be good for around 500lbs? The ripstop is tougher than alot of people give it credit for. I don't remember who it was, but I remember seeing a video here where someone had place a water tank in a hammock and filled it with around 1500lbs of water before failure. So realistically I don't think anyone needs a double layer of 1.9 unless they are using it for a pad pocket.

Here's the chart if you need it.

I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."
