If using two underquilts do you have a suspension line for each quilt, or do you hook both quilts to the same line?

Both quilts to the same 2 lines.

Thanks! Went out this weekend and my toes froze! Guess I should have practiced the adjustments more at home before I went.
The two quilts were sagging at each end. I guess I needed to cinch them all the way with the drawcords, and I should have done the second loop with the suspension system that gets it to hang much closer to the end of the hammock.
Any suggestions?
How were you aligned to the wind? Cinching the ends will certainly help, but sounds like a bit of a site selection issue too.
Yes, JRB also has a modification to help the eliminate air pockets at foot end of the hammock.

I've just added it to my No Sniv. Was easy to do.
DawgU, et al,
This sounds like the suspension was set too loose... The second hitch at the hammock body is the key along with proper adjustment prior to heading out.
There are UQ hanging instructions here...http://www.jacksrbetter.com/UQ%20Installation.htm...Although these instruction are for JRB UQ they will work for the clones/DIY that are also using shock cord suspension.
Also normal draw of the end cords on 48 inch wide UQ is closed up to 14-16 inches .... Dont over do.

I use separate suspensions for both my Old Rag Mtn and my Weather Cover. Really fits nice. Mule
Predictions are risky, especially when it comes to the future.
I recently used two quilts and hooked both of them separately to the HH J-hooks. Cinched them both up and had no problems. Temps were in the 20's. I also was using a 8x10 tarp closed off at the ends for wind block.
Don't cinch the ends all the way tight or you'll create an air pocket just inside the drawcord. Just cinch it enough that it's snug to the hammock while you're laying in it. Depending on how much your hammock sags, there may even be a small gap between the end of the underquilt and the hammock before you get in. But if you were cold on the ends, that's probably the culprit. Also make sure you get the extra half-hitch in the shockcord, like Pan said, and make sure you orient the hammock and tarp broadside to the wind if possible.
