My only full length quilt is for deep winter. So far that seem to be working for me.

I tried several partial length ones. I never got quite comfortable. I got a full length one and I've been warm at 15* (it don't get Shug cold around here very often).

Several of the vendors here have sales going on for the next day or so. Best time of year to buy!

I like full length... It's just less muss and fuss... When its cold and your tired... Why would you want something that is finicky...
Live, Laugh, Love, if that doesn't work. Load, Aim and Fire, repeat as necessary...

Thanks for your input. In theory would a longer 30 degree be almost as warm as a 15 degree 3/4? Even though the 3/4 would have more fill, would the full be warmer because of its length?
    Sorry for these newbie questions.

I have a full lenght and a Yeti.
I think the Yeti is moore comfortable because on the full length the shock cord suspension is putting preasure on my feets.
With the Yeti I use a sit pad under my feet and a sweater under my knees, this works perfect for me

I guess it's relative. The full length would likely keep your feet warmer; however, it wouldn't be as warm as your core on the 3/4. So, if it's 30*, you'll likely be more comfortable with the full (less fussing). If you're trying to use the full at 15*, you'll likely have to supplement it to keep your core warm enough.

Your body works from the core out. If your core temp isn't warm enough for your vital organs, it reduces the blood flow to your extremities to help maintain it. That's why you get cold hands and feet first. If you keep your core warm enough, then the circulation continues.

You loose about 40% of your body heat from your head. #1 winter tip, wear a balaclava to keep your heat warm in bed. #2, eat just before bed as the carbohydrates are feeding the fire in your core.

You could hit the middle and get an Arrowhead Equiptment 2/3 UQ it will cover you from neck to ankles ! Very well constructed and only 20oz! They are synthetic so it is less $ than down ! I have a DIY down full and a Warbonnet Yeti 3/4 and I just ordered a AHE 2/3 it happens to be still on sale for $85 !

I'm gonna have this conversation with myself quite often in the next couple of months - full length vs. 3/4. I just bought a full length HG Incubator to go with my 3/4 Phoenix. I doubt I'll come out with a favorite - I'll love them both.
