Hello, all... from Carrollton, TX (a suburb just north of Dallas).
Found my way here via YouTube where I was watching some vids by Shug Emery (hope I got that right)... anyway, here to learn a wee bit and see what sort of education I can pick up.

Welcome aboard from north of you (near Denton). Lots of local hangers around and a very large number in the state. You just missed the fall "hang" down at Fairfield State Park (I didn't make it either). I believe around 100 were there! Look in the Trip Report section for that.
Read, research, ask questions. There is a great group on here. Watch out for the for sale area, the "dutch" area......it seems to be where a lot of money and goods change hands on neat hanging gear!
