Thanks for your creation jason. Three questions.

When can we expect to buy one in the states?

Would it be possible to buy just the stand without the hammock?

Would you be able to offer different length for the poles?

Thanks and I am looking forward to try it out.

I was wondering the same things myself.

Are you asking about longer poles because you would like to use longer hammocks?

    Yes NCpatrick.

I think longer poles would give us more choices with various hammocks. As Jeff's review state, there will be a point when the hammock will touch the ground if the poles were spread further. I can't wait to read about DIY modification when we get our hand on one.

This company appears to be out of business. Does anyone know for certain?

Thank you lilricky, I knew you could still buy these but I forgot the details.
I also believe someone on the forum was making a kit with a similar design but used hiking poles. Yet again I have forgotten any details.

You can check out https://www.tiggzcraftworkz.com/ to see the NoGround hiking pole- based hammock stand. A couple of us initially collaborated on a hiking pole based hammock stand here on Hammockforums.net (see thread here: https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...it-can-be-done )and eventually one of the folks started commercially producing a hiking pole- based stand, called the 'NoGround Hammock Stand'. Here is a review of the NoGround hammock stand by Shugemery: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kPvSn5_T58

I currently own both the Handy Hammock stand and one of the NoGround hammock stands. The Handy Hammock (or the now renamed 'Ultralight Hammock Stand' by DD) is bulletproof, has excellent build quality, and is easy to assemble (see review here by Derek Hansen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJKBV7grHyU). The NoGround stand is a bit more complicated to assemble, but is lighter and converts into a hiking pole during the day. I would recommend either, depending on what you needs are.

One last important point to consider. Both of these stands are dependent on using ground stakes to hold the hammock stand in place. If you are planning to set up the stands where the ground is rocky and difficult to put stakes into the ground, then these stands may not be for you. I recently encountered this issue while on a backpacking trip in Northern California. The place we stopped for the night had ground that was just too hard-packed to allow us to drive the stakes in the ground. I ended up sleeping on the ground that night.
