    New Incubator test

GMO Hanger and I hit the woods last night to try out our new 0 degree Incubators. I will speak for mine, it only got to 29 degrees with wind gust up to 30 mph, this UQ is unbelievable. About 2 in the morning I woke up and had to take some clothes off and kick my top quilt back for about 20 mins just to cool down LOL!! I was amazed at how warm it was. Mine has the 4 ounces of overstuff and it will cook you if you are not carefull I had a nalgene with hot water that I put in it about 20 min before I got in and it was like an oven in there. I kicked the water bottle down by my feet which I also had my down coat around the foot end and had to pull it out of the hammock. That is a great way to supplement heat if you need it.

Here is GMO Hanger with his set up...

    I envy your night.

I have spent less than a dozen nights in my new 20* incubator, all in my back yard. Last night was the first that I was anything but cozy. Temps in the single digits but dew point in the teens. I did not get cold but, by 6AM I woke up damp. The bottom of my underquilt was both damp and frosty.

    Any shug-gestions?

More than likely the combo of temps below the UQ rating and wind. Was the tarp pitched low and set to block the wind?
Never had mine damp after a night of nod.........you may want to consider a UQ Protector: http://www.2qzqhammockhanger.com/ham...cessories.html
