    I have the traveler sock from Warbonnet, which is for gathered end hammocks. Very nice, with a zipper entry. I'd recommend it.

    ok, this brings up a question that i,ve wanted to ask for some time now. after launching, head long, into the diy hammock world. i've decided to make myself a sock...so, is there an "online" pattern available ? current thoughts on socks..likes and dislikes, strongly encouraged thanking all in advance!

    Pick a bugsock/net pattern you like and switch the netting for what ever winter sock material you like. There is Papasmurf's tube sock, dejoha's HUG "sock", HangnOut's/Pip's TED sock, etc.

    There are quite a few patterns available. They can be done for deep cold from cotton, or if you wish warmer weather from nylon.

    I saw one of the best DIY socks this past weekend

    it was Detailman's and D1's. If you know Detailman you'd expect spot on perfection and his socks were beautiful in exacting precision. Even better was his separator poles that allows two hammocks to use the same two trees AND share one tarp which equaled huge weight savings.
