    DIY Stuff Sack for UQ?

Just finished my UQ and needing to make a stuff sack. Size is 78 X 44 with 16 oz of 800 fill goose down. Is there a good comparison chart or recommendations? Ready to be done.

    Here are some directions.......http://thru-hiker.com/projects/silnylon_stuffsacks.php
Maybe stuff the UQ in a big baggie or the likes to get a rough dimension.

Does anyone have a comparison of quilts on the market and final stuff sack size?

Just take something like a pillowcase and fold and pin the side until its the diameter that works then roll down the top until its the length that works. Then make a stuff sack to those dimensions. Totally custom to how you want it packed. "Fits in a stuff sack" and "fits like you want it to" are two different things. If you make a compression sack you can leave it long and have the option of how tightly compressed it is.
HERE and HERE are a couple videos on making stuff sacks- a reg. and a compression. I'm not much of a dimension guy when it comes to stuff sacks, I just make it the size I want it. I don't figure volume etc. I just sorta shoot from the hip.
    Good luck,

i do like above said... shove it in some sack that i have and then push it until it fits like i want and then take those dimensions and make what i want... if you do it this way don't forget to add in your seam allowances and a bit up top for the cinch cord and the rolled seam at the bottom of that...

I believe Nacra did a calculation to get a stuff sack to a specific size. I'm mobile so search for him. I think it's Nacra followed by several numbers. Hope that helps.
