The combative tone in this thread makes me regret some of the effort I put into HF as a moderator. I've never thought that before.

Just scroll through the hangouts every once in a while and subscribe to or bookmark the ones you might want to attend or follow. It wasn't difficult before the change, and it's not difficult now.

We made the subforums because of the sheer number of hangout threads and how frequent the request to do so comes up. It seems to best fit the largest number of members to break it down a little more.

If you don't like the change, that's fine. But it's not some 'terrible' thing to make a few more clicks every once in a while.

Please leave the arguments to other sites.

Agree with angrysparrow, drop the arguing. The opportunity for dividing us has already been presented by dividing us into groups. Don't allow it to happen by arguing over whose idea is better. Time will prove that out on its own.

Far as I'm concerned, this thread has done what it was intended to do already. Continued bickering is only going to result in this thread being closed.

Seriously, guys. It's amazing to me how many people complain so dramatically about something they get FOR FREE!! Made possible by real humans on the other side of these keyboards volunteering quite a bit of their time to bring it to you.

If this site is too cumbersome for you, then don't use it. Simple as that. Constructive suggestions are always welcome, and are always considered in detail by the mods, but please take your bickering somewhere else b/c it's not welcome here.

This thread has served its purpose and will be closed. So will any new threads complaining about this one being closed.
