So are the regional subforums there to use from here forward only, or are any existing threads of upcoming trips going to be moved?

We'll try to start moving threads soon, but that's going to be something of an undertaking to sort and possibly rename threads. We're a little busy, so it will take a few days at best.

That was meant to sound impatient. I was just wanting to understand what the Mods had in mind. Thanks again for all your hard work.
On behalf of Canadian HF members, many of whom, like myself, are active group hangers, could you consider including a Canada sub-forum? While you're at it, perhaps a European one might help cover all the bases.
The EGL hanging group is experimenting with a notification thread (only a single post per planning thread or trip report, no comments or discussions). People can subscribe/unsubscribe as they see fit. We're encouraging members on both sides of the border surrounding the eastern Great Lake states to subscribe as well. We'll tell you how it goes in the months to come.

You can subscribe to a subforum instead of creating a new thread that will need maintenance. See the sticky in the main trip planning forum for three ways to do it.
We normally create subs when there are enough threads to warrant it for organizational purposes. Let's see how cluttered the International sub gets before we break it down further.
