Jeff after clearing everything on my computer, shutting down my Wi-Fi/modem I'm still having problems but will attempt to download another browser tonight. Thanks for the help.
before downloading another browser do a simple ping test to make sure your computer can access the site without the browser
start > run > type "cmd" > type "ping -n 1 www.hammockforums.net"
it should come up with a response with some info and say 0% loss if that fails try it at the router level typically http://192.168.1.1 and would most likely be under diagnostic should have a ping section which will test if your router itself can access the site if that fails then its most likely youre ISP for some reason
If you haven't gotten it to work yet you could try changing your DNS. There was a game I wanted to play online once and I had do it to get it to work. Anyway if you haven't gotten something else to work yet it might be worth a try, just google "change your dns" and you should get plenty of results...
As far as web browsers go I like chrome mostly because it starts up fast. There is something to be said about Firefox too, especially because of the wide range of plugins available.
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."

I had this same issue and got on to the forums from a different location and did an email from the "contact us" at the bottom of the page. I got an email back from Richard Towle who had me go to a site which provided my IP address. I gave that back to him, he did something then emailed me back and asked me to try and get on. Whatever he did worked cause here I am. Thanks Richard
