I find that this is true for any type of hobby. Much of the fun is "acquisition" . I live in GA, and I have purchased 3 fairly expensive snowboards over the years. At least with hammock gear you can use them anywhere there are trees
Rev, I used a truck at the Santee hang to transport all that gear. I do have the hiking and backpacking gear to hike in, so that is covered. I just leave the charcoal grill at home, and Ti Emberlit for the hike in's.

My gear room is starting look like a cross between the Beverly Hillbilly's and the show Hoarding. Time for another clean up.
