I use flyz on the 4 corner tieouts of my cuben tarp. Went through a 70+ mph storm in the smokies with it. 1 limb the size of my forearm fell on 1 tieout and knocked it loose. I just reached out from under the tarp and pulled the limb off and hooked the line back on. Only time I've had 1 come loose.

Do you happen to have any pics of this set up? Are the Flyz attached to the d-ring on the tarp or are they on the line, I presume you have them near the d-rings anyway.

Sorry no pics. Tied them to D ring on tarp. Then put small loop on my line. Hook loop on my stake and then attach to flyz and crank her down. Got most of the idea from Black Wolf

I use the big 9's to hold up my hammock and the small for all my guylines. I've never had any issues, but I'm a small lightweight guy, so take it for what it's worth

I love knots, but I'm considering some small "upgrades" to minimize the time it takes to set things up. Anyone had any problems with the NiteIze stuff? They seem to be quite a bit less expensive, but Dutch's stuff looks like it would be stronger.
