    Talking Hello

Hey, y'all I am new to hammock camping. I did a lot of camping as a kid, but have not been camping in years. My midlife crisis is that I want to go camping and hiking again. I have been looking on line and hammock camping looks like the way to go. My wife says that will make me burrito for the bears.
Your site has a lot of useful information and I am looking forward learning from you.

And let your wife know, In the woods your a snack for bears whether your on the ground or in a hammock. The difference is how comfortable you are at the time they dine.

Welcome! I spent a lot of time in Gulfport handling litigation for BellSouth back in the day. I enjoyed the area and people, and especially the food, quite a bit. I haven't been back since Katrina. I imagine a lot has changed with new construction. You're going to love backpacking and camping with a hammock, and the bears shouldn't be a problem at all.
