I was absolutely ready when the forecast was for an overnight of 34. I personally am ready for the current forecast of 20, but the 3 other people in my group are gonna freeze

I was going to post a reminder to be sure and bring your winter gear. I know a guy that came to a hang with everything except his quilts. It was only supposed to get down to 55* so he thought he would be ok....He was up all night by the fire *FREEZING*

It's been a bit on the chipper side here in OKC but the snow is a non-issue.

Ive got no quilts but Im hopin the zero bag & ccf will work well again if Ma nature will keep things above 25. If not maybe I can borrow Cavemans dog Reggie or just maybe Pacho will have to come walkabout. See ya'll soon.

Carry a little extra fuel for warm water bottle to sleep with... I have several contingencies forming between now and then to take my 40* setup down to 20*

I have been known to fire up the lighter fluid fueled hand warmer when things get real brisk so maybe I'll haul it as well but in a closed space it does have a unique fragrance sometimes. Lets see- be warm or smell like a Zippo? ??

Third options is those air activated hand warmers... I keep a set in each jacket and a few in the pack... They have some that are shaped like insoles now, haven't tried it though they are in the pack already...

Ok. I've started getting things ready for the weekend. Tore down my kit from the backyard and letting everything air out and fluff up nice before I cram it in it's stuff sack. Got my meals together. C'mon Saturday!
