    Sounds great

I Wanna B there. Will check with my other half. We don't have winter gear yet so may have to speed that process up if we decide we can make it.

We'd love to have you there. You could always get a ccf pad from walmart. That with a sleeping bag should get you through until an UQ can be aquired.

Check your gear for comfort this Thursday, 12/20/2012. It will only be around 50 in Dallas with a north wind. check for comfort that night also. Lay in it for an hour. I tested with a CCF pad, a summer 3/4 UQ and TQ down to around 30 last year. With clothes, a fleece jacket, beaning cap and gloves, I took a nap. It would have worked overnight.
Plus, have a head light. If you come out and it is too cold, you can night hike back to your car. You'd probably only be 6 miles at the worst (2 hours?) to reach your car and head home.
I just hope there isn't rain.

Last february I did a weekend in a 30 knot wind an 17 degrees in a zero degree bag ccf pad and a 12X12 tarp. It made a memory but the daylight hours were much more difficult than nights. If the forcasted temps drop towards 30 degrees I might bring the dog for a little extra comfort.

I did this trail in March. It rained from 1PM on Saturday to 11AM on Sunday. I'm hoping the drought lasts at least until we finish up on the 30th

When I did it in September it slowly drizzled most of the weekend. It was awesome!

I don't think spaceweaseal is going to make it, but I will be there for sure. Brute got the all clear, so I'm pretty sure he will be there as well. I know Markrvp is pretty excited, so I'm pretty sure that he will make it as well (and I think he has others coming with him?)

It should be fun. Just be sure and be at the parking lot by 10. I'll be leaving shortly after to head to the other trailhead.
