My roommate and I bought a 300' of 2" webbing in blue from the same place a few months ago...they shipped 1" instead but were quick to fix the issue.

He was only interested in using it to make a few longer slacklines (we each added some hardware, like a wench for instance, to accomplish this) but I got it for packs and tree straps among other uses I'm sure to come across.

If you decide that 1000ft of shock cord is overwhelming let me know and we could work out a price for 50-100ft.

Is the 1500 lb 1" strap Poly from these guys adequate for hammock suspension? I have the webbing suspension on my WBBB. I like the quick setup compared to the whoopie sling/tree hugger on my son's HHUL and my ENO DN. I'm thinking of converting them to the webbing.

i use a 1" poly webbing, it looks the same, i've never hurt a tree or had them fail on me.

The 1500 lb 1" polyester strap sure is. I've made several. It has a softer "hand" than the Warbonnet webbing, but works well.

I am hanging off of stuff with a 200 lb working limit... Surely something with 1500 lb working limit would be fine...

I was concerned about the same thing when I ordered it, seemed too good to be true. But just palyin around stretching it out it seems pretty solid. Time will tell though.

I think I remember reading that it wasn't continuous length. Not a big deal since I won't be needing long lengths at a time anyway.

Definitely. With a 5:1 safety factor that gives it a 300lb capacity. I think some of the stuff sold by some of our cottage vendors has the same rating.

As far as projects for it go, I just got it for putting knotty mods on all of my hammocks and to make a sock. Considering the price savings I saw no reason not to stock up for any future projects that may come up. The polyester is for tree straps, considering I have 8 hammocks, so far, and need to make straps for all but two, that stuff isn't gonna last long.

For everyone wanting to get their hands on some of the shock cord, watch the PIF forum because I will be using it as currency there.
