Nah, when I know if I'm working that weekend I will probably just swap shifts with someone else if possible. I think that I will be able to make it. Once it gets to two weeks out I'll be able to start working on it.
I stand corrected now. My schedule for that weekend just came out and apparently I have it as "time off". So I will be out there. I just hope that my Grizzbeak comes in time to play around with for this trip or the next weekend.
I'm still planing on coming... I know the park allows dogs, but how do the rest of you feel about it? I may bring three. I call them my "Travel Pack" They are good dogs. Friendly, well behaved and quiet...

Now those guys look like quite the motley crew! I'll have my boxer with me (he comes on most of my trips). I don't think anyone has a problem with dogs as long as they have a responsible owner. Your "pack" looks like they are short haired guys, so just be aware that they will probably need some kind of cover if the temps are anything like this last weekend.
If you ain't havin' fun, you're doin' it wrong
Thanks. I'm hoping to have a coat made for them by this time. I'm thinking of doing a evazote foam coat... waterproof, warm and lite weight. I've never done it before so it will probably look goofy.
Since the main camp is only about a mile in, you could just bring a couple of blankets for them (if they can share) If it's going to be cold, I usually carry an extra fleece blanket. I lay down a compactor bag and then put the folded up fleece on that. Reggie lays on that and then I tuck my down jacket around him. It got down to 18* this weekend and he did fine. The little guy could probably cuddle up next to you.

Found a dog wetsuit on ebay for $13. Should be good. they will also carry a blanket.
As much as I wanted to join you guys and meet up with some local hangers, it doesn't look like I'll be able to swing this trip. Keep me in the loop for future hangs, though, and have a great time. Please post lots of pics so I can see what I missed!
Has anybody every done the Goodwater trail around Lake Georgetown? It looks like a pretty cool 26 mile trip on Army Corps property. Something to consider for future hangs...
