What's comparable to HG winter palace

I'm looking at getting a HG winter palace, however I'm interested in what other makers are producing something comparable in both size and weight. Is the only other option a custom made cf tarp?

If you're talking Cuben, then custom from most cuben vendors. If your talking other material, like Silnylon, then there are numerous ones.

I believe HF member Gargoyle makes a winter tarp as well.

Well in size there is the hard rock winter tarp, but i dont believe its done in cuben and thus, more weight. Plus it uses spreader poles which i like very much for that tarp if im carrying poles anyway for my ridge runner.

IMHO, there is no comparison. It is a most excellent tarp. Just doesn't get any better.

you may want to have a look at the Old Man Winter from WildernessLogics. 3 tie out loops per side,
add a little more wind resistance and they can help keep the tarp tight so the snow can slide off.
i really like mine. i couldn't decide between brown or green.
i had him add pole pockets at the center tie out and i added a center pole.
if i could only have 1 tarp, the OMW would defiantly be the 1.

Flatline, it looks like with the pole mod, you don't really need the side tie-outs?
