    WM blue pad sore back

I have been using layers of 1/8" ccf. But I decided to try a blue pad. But it my back quickly starts to ache right between my shoulder blades.

I'd be using an underquilt by now if I hadn't been laid off work. No job tends to slow down your hobbies a little.

Hmmm. Some of the pads have a course texture and are really stiff like blue ethafoam. Some are fine textured and significantly more flexible. I wonder which you had.

Were you getting cold from the GG pad?

If you have a yard of heavy polartech fleece and some nylon you could try a cover over the foam for more insulation and less condensation. The polar fleece does not completely collapse where you lay on it so it provides some more warmth and a bit of ventilation that is inside the warm envelop so you go not get cold air but you do get off the pad surface.

Yea, it's a cheap Wally World blue pad really rough and stiff. I think I'll stick with the 1/8" foam layered up till I get back to work and can do an underquilt. I was thinking about making a pad extender like cover for the layers of thin foam.
