Doctor confirmed today that I fractured my tailbone. She asked how I fell and I laughed and told her my whoopie sling slipped off the knot of my marlin spike hitch and I hit the ground. Since sitting hurts and I just can't get comfortable, I have to cancel attendance at this hang. The good news is that they didn't put my butt in a cast. If I win something at the drawing, maybe Fireinmybones will bring it this way and I or my husband can meet up with him somewhere. I'm really, really bummed about this.

Sorry you're not going to make it. I thought we was finally going to meet since we're neighbors and all. lol

Ahhhh man! I was looking forward to riding my motorcycle but it has a potential for severe thunderstorms Friday! I don't mind the rain it's the lightning that I'm worried about.

I guess we should all maybe keep in mind that it might get bad.

Maybe the forecast will change a little between now and then. If not I guess I will drive my truck. I've been back and forth all day... truck, motorcycle, truck, motorcycle... lol

Has anyone put further thought on name tags?
All we need are duct tape or masking tape and a sharpie.... what'cha think? I'm not good with names but good with faces.

I'm brand new to the forum and to hammock camping. Don't think that I'm ready to sign up for full participation in the hang, but was wondering if it would be apropos to come by Saturday to visit for a while and see some equipment set up and in use.

We were all brand new hangers at one point. Come out and join the hang. No one will laugh at you rig (well maybe a little). You will have a great time, see lots of different hammocks, UQs, TQs Tarps, suspensions ect. We will be happy to answer your questions. You will also be able to put faces to the names on the forum ect.

I find I can learn more at a hang than reading lots of posts trying to figure out what the person is talking about. Tenters are welcome.

I am bring extra gear (hammocks and tarps) to share for newbies.


Grannypat.... you still have to attend the hang. I told my wife (also a Pat) about you and I figured two Pats at the hang would be twice as much fun.

I had to go back and edit my post I forgot a few words. I do that when I get excited. I wish Friday was like tomorrow or something.

I enjoyed Parson mt hang so much... can't wait to get back out there in the woods.

You going to have to fill me on the geocahing events..... I have found a total of 50 something... I know I'm a newbie! lol
