    Space Blanket Recommendation

    Any recommendations on which (brand, etc.) space blanket to get to use with a Hennessy Super Shelter (Explorer Deluxe SS#2)? Looking for quality, minimal "crinkling" noise, and any other desirable qualities I'm not thinking of. Thanks!

    Also, would a piece of reflectix work in place of a space blanket?

    I personally get the double-size Heat Sheet...it's not terribly crinkly, and there's enough surface area to be sure you have full coverage beneath you. It also seems to be less prone to tearing than the cheap "standard" space blanket.

    Adventure medical kits makes a double size "space blanket". It's orange on one side, reflective on the other so you can use it as a signal if needed. The 5'x8' size is 3.5oz. Not too bad...

    Yes I have a well thought out recommendation - don't buy one.
    There was an Old Man with a owl,
    Who continued to bother and howl;
    He sat on a rail, And imbibed bitter ale,
    Which refreshed that Old Man and his owl

    I have a couple of grabbers as well, but they are the all weather blanket version. Good company too. Not as light as the typical ones, but much more durable.
