DIY Pod from patrol bags and finally TED sock

Warning: This is not for the UL crowd! This is comfort camping at it's best

I started out wondering what to do with 4 patrol bags that I won. That thread is here http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=63498

I went with the POD idea, but I move about a lot, and didn't want confined like PODs will do, so I went with a big pod and so far it's working out really nice.

Now onto some pictures. I have one done, but still working on the foot area.

I started out with cutting the zippers out of the patrol bags, cut the hoods off and sort of in an obtuse rectangle, shaped them up. Narrow on one end and wider on the other. Please ignore the dog toys and such, it was hard enough to try to keep 10 dogs out of the pictures....and excuse the cell phone camera quality.

I also had few patches to do and seamed up the long sides. I left the ends unseamed at this stage.
