Do you use a ridge line on your hammock? If you use a RL on the hammock, in the cold weather, you can use a poncho liner, a fleece blanket, about anything will work to some extent, to cover yourself by laying over the RL and sides of the hammock from end to end to cover yu with and as long as its somewhat breathable, you might avoid condensation and add a few degrees of warmth also. Something you might try if you don't have a sock or a cover..experiment that way also with different gear.

If you look at HH website they carry a non waterproof topcover that adds quite a bit of heat to your rig but allows condensation to evaporate through. Fairly cheap too if memory serves.

I use a sleeping bag which has a sleeve under it to insert an insulating pad. So it stays under me, no matter how much I wiggle, and keeps me warm.
FYI: have not tried this myself, but Shug will use a sleeping bag zipped around the hammock to create a "pod" for extra warmth.

If you are doing ok with a pad and sleeping bag as is, it sounds like adding another bag to use as a pod would help you to deal with lower temps quite well. Plus, the extra bag is nice to have just in case you have to go to ground. As always, would be REALLY helpful to try out the rig in your backyard or some other safe place first to get some experience. The more I learn about hammock camping, the more I realize how important testing is to successful hanging!
