    filtered creek water

this is what the creek water looks like after filtering.
My daughter says it looks like "pee"

Shannon's young daughter, Megan, says it tastes fine.

Another opportunity missed, but I'm looking forward to Buck Lake and Sherpa3. Any talk about a Hike and Hang in March?

Thanks for the pictures and I'd like to do some orchid hunting with olddog in February.

Only been at this a couple of years now O-boy but it has become apparent that with our short hanging season we have to cram as much as possible in to that short time frame. Spent some time today looking at some different locations that may work for us. Some of us that are retired are more flexible with dates but those still punching the clock need to be able to make advance plans. It seems that we may be developing a routine set of hangs, the Florida Hang, Sherpa hang, and the Richloam Hike and Hang. Plus most of us have to fit the family holiday obligations in somewhere. There will be a spring hike and hang in Richloam or possibly Green Swamp but that hasn't been determined yet. My research today lead me toward the Little Manatee River SP hiking trail but will require more information gathering. State parks have more requirements as far as registering with the office and such for overnight stays. Keep an eye out for planning post here. Would enjoy having you join us again on a hang.

I loved the pictures! To me the Florida 'scrub' land is abs. beautiful. We can't make the Florida hang dates but do plan on a 3 day hike this winter in the Ocala....needing a Spanish moss and sugar sand fix. Plus it's been too long since I hung from a Live Oak.
Thanks again for taking us to your world.
