But really though, is this like a potluck? I mean obviously cooler than that.

Oh also, I am becoming giddy like a little girl right now

Yeah. Sat. night will be a big potluck. Some will have their dutch ovens and prepare their dishes Sat. afternoon. Others prepare theirs ahead of time. Me, I am not much of a cook, so I try to pick up barbeque or something else we will need for the dinner.

They usually go to David Crockett State Park for breakfast on Sat. In case you are interested in that.

My first hang with them was May 2011, and everyone made me feel right at home. I look forward to meeting you.

I just realized this is not a hike and hang, I have been thinking "people really carry dutch ovens 5 miles into the woods?"

Well this changes everything for me, Suppose I should plan a bit differently.

Oh awesome man, just checked and my new business postcards are gonna be in tomorrow so I may end up skipping the hang out and canvassing neighborhoods. Haven't fully decided yet, but go ahead and keep me on the maybe list.

Hey Neo! Been out of town but I will have my super sized coffee pot. Also, I am bringing hot chocolate. Will definitely be there before dark on Friday. If JD doesn't work, around noon.

Neo, proper adjustment is everything. Too tight and you compress the down, too loose and you have gaps that allow cold spots to form. Having someone familiar with quilts adjust it while you are in the hammock can make all the difference in the world. I just spent a night on Roan High Knob with my custom LeighLo UQ and never got cold in spite of howling winds, blowing snow, and temps down to at least 9° not counting windchill which put us well below zero. Granted, I was in a sock, but a prooerly adjusted UQ still makes all the difference
