Nice video. 13 degrees sounds cool enough to me. We rarely see those temperatures. You have some nice gear and it looks like it served you well. Thanks for sharing.
We are now ready to start our way down the Great Unknown. We are three quarters of a mile in the depth of the earth. We have an unknown distance yet to run, an unknow river yet to explore. What falls there are, we know not; what rocks beset the channel, we know not; what walls rise over the river, we know not. Ah, well! We may conjecture many things. The men talk as cheerfully as ever; jests are bandied about freely this morning; but to me the cheer is somber and the jests are ghastly. Powell 1869

It sure is. I have to thank you Shug for helping to get me back into the piney woods. In my younger days (many years ago) I used to backpack quite a bit throughout New England, but a back injury put a stop to that real quickly and even though I tried several times, I just could not sleep on the ground. Fast forward to a few years ago, and I ran across this crazy guy on You Tube backpacking in -26F snow in MN and having a blast. I think I saw every video you had made to that point, and was inspired to try hammock camping. One overnighter in a hammock, and I was hooked! No back issues and I can now get out there again--albeit a lot slower.... I know this has been said many times over, but I just want to thank you for sharing your experiences and knowledge--you've dramatically changed my life for the better and brought me back into the piney woods, now here in NM.

The cottage shops on HammockForums are the best--they make it really easy to get out there!
