Thanks all for the comments. I've been traveling all week and haven't had a chance to reply. It was a nice trip.

Not a TN cap, just an orange Nike one... I was in a relay race once (Hood to Coast) and we all wore the same hat so we could find each other

Glad you are feeling better. We'll have to connect another time.

I would have kept the fire going at camp while you did the trail! Like I told you at the Yates Place Hang, that's one trail I can say I did, but I'm not sure I want to repeat it!
For some reason I didn't recall the difficulty of the hike in this conversation... Of course once you say "views" the rest fades out.

    Dont over do it man!
Great report. Thanks for the take-along.
First time near the BRP? You'll find hundreds of hikes off the Parkway.
Loved your 'house', wonderful tarp set up.
Stunning views! The shot with the lone tree-remarkable.
I think, but maybe wrong-that the original AT route went through that area-maybe???
Nice vid from you. We need more

That was great TallPaul! If I'm not mistaken, you're using a Granit Gear Vapor Pack; I have the 60 liter version of that same pack and LOVE IT!

Also, I agree with you about trekking poles; they help going up hill but REALLY help going down. My knee is shot and it's harder going down than up surprisingly.

thanks for the great Video; nothing weird about talking to yourself on camera....at least not too weird!

Thanks Gideon - I do love the Granite Gear pack - now called the Crown VC 60. Only 2lbs and change, plus 65 liters for capacity in winter when you need it.
