From what I can see, there really isn't a good direct one without going around to the north or south.
Yes, will just have to see how ambitious I feel - should be something like a 6hr trip. That 10m loop from the link you sent is a good option.

Just to clarify, the main camping/group gathering is going to be up by East Fork, right?
Keep movin', keep believing and enjoy the journey!
Burrells Ford Road does continue on the Georgia side of the river until it connects to US-28 just south of Warwoman Road. That may be your best access point. Be warned, BF Road is a rough, gravel path that is almost 7 miles long on the Georgia Side. The SC side connects to US-107 in only 2.7 miles. You don't need an offroad vehicle, but you wouldn't want anything low to the ground or that you weren't willing to get dusty.
"The Road goes ever on and on,
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can.
Pursuing it with eager feet
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say."

Just wanted to pop this back to the top for any new-comers. I've been so pre-occupied with life i haven't done a very good job with updates and such. Thanks to others for filling in!
This will be my first trip to burrel's ford as well. I should have space for 1+ gear if anyone wants to carpool. Hit me up in pm or email me @ [email protected] and we'll work out details.
Looking forward to it!
Im gonna change it up a bit for my hike in. Its an amazing hike from the fish hatchery parking lot down the east fork trl to the "base camp" area. That is as long as I can get a dog sitter. Ive hiked from the bridge(burrells ford) to the bridge(east fork) about 5 times in the past couple of months. Also my brother and a friend of mine may join as well. They are groundies but okay in my opinion. Anyways I look foward to meeting everyone, and seeing a few friends again.

Bump... we need some activity on this thread... do we have any sort of agenda or a time that we're auctioning stuff for charity? Can we bring used stuff to donate for auction?
I'd like to hike while there, but will work around whatever agenda we might have for the cause.
