Question's On the Cuben Fiber tarp?

Ok fellas (by "fellas", i do include girls in that statement) I've just purchased a new Cuben fiber tarp and was wondering, do I need a continuous ridgeline under the tarp? BTW I've watched the "Shug" video and really can't tell if his is continuous. Also i understand that shock cord is not needed on the guylines because there is very little give on cuben fiber. Is that correct?

thanks fellow hangers and thanks to Stormcrow and Jen for getting this tarp to me before Christmas!

Use two lines off the ends ... use a continous ridgeline over ... or under ... the choice is yours. Nope you don't need tensioners ... that puppy doesn't stretch when wet ... enjoy!

I don't....I go with separate lines right off the ridgeline ends. Stormcrow always said to "crank it tight".

I use a continous on my Superfly but have two separate lines with some Dutch Bling on my HG Cuben tarp.

I use a spinnaker not a cuben tarp but it is has similar properties as cuben. Personally I find using a continues ridge line the easiest method to get your tarp centered up. With that being said I choose to run the ridgeline over the tarp to avoid any abrasion the line may cause to the tarp. Abrasion is spinn and cubens downfall. These materials do not stretch so no need for shock cord.

I use mesh skins on mine for breathability if wet, then stuff them in the outside of my pack.
