    Extras Wide Evazoto Pad

Just checking to see how much interest there would be in an extra wide 60X80X 1/4" Evazoto pad. I will be testing a sample of this foam soon and just want to get an idea of interest here in the hammock world. I personally can't wait to get my hands on it.

Has any one used a piece similar to this size?
Any Idea on patterns to reduce bunching and creasing?
I will be testing with a Warbonnet Blackbird 1.1 DL

I currently use 40 x 60 x 1/4 Volara CCF in my hammock. I use separate pieces, one for torso and the other for legs. I find it is easier to control them separately. The torso piece goes between hammock layers (I have a double layer hammock), and the leg piece goes on top. Easier to adjust the leg pad that way.

Where did you get your 60x80 pad? I'd like to get more.

Gossemer Gear is about to start carrying it. This will just a be a test piece. I personally like full coverage from head to toe.

Would you use a one-piece if available?

I will be cutting it down to about 45 X 80 and giving it more of a hammock shape.

    I'd be interested in a 60x80.

MDSH - How would you use it? Would you use it as is, or DIY something?

No, I would cut it to into four pieces of 30x40. Two pieces could be used in summer, one under legs the other under torso, then add the other two pieces for colder weather.

What is the weight and cost for the 60x80?

I won't have it until Thursday or Friday, so I don't have the exact weight yet. Based on other pads it should weigh in around 27 ounces.

Got my extra wide in. Weight before cutting and trimming is 26 oz. I was able to get two full length pads out of it. One is 12oz the other is 11.4oz. Dimensions are in the pic. If this goes to market it will be available in black.

1/4" is good to about 55*. I haven't had a cold enough night yet to do a field test. I should have good testing weather Monday. If you layer these it will take you well below freezing. However if you really want good cold weather insulation that is lite and you have the $$ an under quilt would be better.
