So after the thoughtful replies in my previous thread, I've decided to do some thread injecting. Picked up a yard of ripstop when I was in town, and started playing. Tonight, I started my first project - a doll hammock! About 1:5 scale, it has a ridgeline of about 21". A little tight for Barbie, since I didn't hem it at 1:5 scale, but I'm getting the hang of the singer (a little 132Q). Lashed it together with some paracord, and Barbie is now hanging under the table. Next step will to make a hex tarp to go with it. It has been good practice, and I think I'll be ready when I get the materials (but it might not be pretty!)
