    Sleeping bag insulation question

I use a Marmot Trestles 15 sleeping bag in my hammock. I have a Peak Elite AC sleeping pad which is 2.5 inches when fully inflated. I have thought about deflaiting it enough to stuff it inside my sleeping bag. Would less air mean less insulation. If so, would it be a significant difference? Of course, my test run will be in the backyard. I would like to hear what you guys think?

I would put it under the bag rather than in it. The few times iv slept directly on a pad it was ~ hot/sweaty.
