Bishop Bag vs. Sewn-on Stuffsack?

Let me first say that I do not own a hammock with an attached stuff sack nor have I used a bishop bag. I am just getting started with the many different ways hammocks can be set up and stored.
I am curious to know what you all think about bishop bags. Is there a major benefit to using one compared to an attached stuff sack like on the GTUL? In both situations, you have your bag connecting to your hammock so it is easy to access. I'm looking at Dejoha's illustration on converting an attached stuff sack into a bishop bag, I'm not sure what the appeal is. I guess if your bishop bag is big enough you could pack a bug net along with your hammock. Is there anything else I'm missing?

I use a DIY bishop bag because you hook up to tree on one side then deploy across to other side in one shot. To put away, unhook from the bag side and stuff into bag while moving to other side again one shot.

I have an Eno DN with a side attached stuff sack, and I'm seriously considering converting it into a bishop bag. Yes, I think they add that much convenience.

Bought one of those Yukon hammocks from the Woot deal and this was my first thought after stuffing the hammock back in the bag.

Definitely a convenience thing for me.

Having the bag with the strap threaded through at one end on the hammock lets me really easily stuff it back into the bag with zero chance of touching the ground. It also let's me deploye faster and easier by attaching one end and then just stringing it out all at once.

An attached stuff sack in the middle works but makes it just a bit more challenging/fumbling around.

I removed mine from my ENO Doublenest and made a diy double side bishop bag. The included stuffsack fit my hammock, whoopies, ridgeline, straps, and 2 carabiners, but it was a tight fit. I removed it because it always seemed to get in the way or tangled up on my underquilt or other things.

Bishop bags work well and I used them for a while. After I first saw the Lazy Slug Tube from Wilderness logics, that got me to rethinking my methods while I'm on the trail. Now I just wrap the bugnet around the hammock, leaving TQ in the hammock and UQ attached. It's a larger bundle for sure, but way simpler to setup/take down. At home the quilts get stored lofted.

when i got my GTUL i just used the attacded stuff sack it worked ok, it barley fit my suspenson, so i decided to remove the orignal stuff sack and make a BB for it. i made it large enough to leave my Bugnet on the hammock when needed. i also now have more than enough room for any extras i might need to leave on the hammock

i like the lazy slug idea no more rigging and un-rigging the insolation

I have an OX gear hammock and it has a small stuff sack sewn into the hammock. Since it's dead in the middle my hammock never touches the ground. Take two seconds to deploy and pack up. I like not having to keep up with one more bag to lose. Lord knows I need all the help I can get.

I like both. I use the side pocket as an additional storage and it will even hold a drink (There is only so much you can put in a gear loft organizer). I like the bishop bag for convenience and to keep everything off the ground. I also occasionally use the Lazy Slug Tube method when I want to have it all in one bag. But I still like that side pocket left attached.
