    whoopies and marlin spike hitch

Hey guys i already have my whoopies on my eno dn and will be ordering some tree huggers soon for now i am just using my eno atlas straps but i want to eliminate some weight from my setup so my question is will the standard aluminum toggles hold me at 330 or do i need to get something different or could i just use a stick out of the woods so i dont have to carry toggles

The toggle should have little to no weight on it. Hang on the knot not the toggle. On the knot not the toggle. Everyone say it together.

If hung on properly the toggle only needs to moderately strong....enough so to handle the compression forces.

The marlin spike hitch and knot talk begin about 3:58, but the whole video is worth watching.

Make sure you have the sling loop squarely on the knot, not tipped to one side. This may cause the hammock to spin over and dump you on the turf, or cement in some cases. DAMHIK

Every, single time I hang my hammock ON THE KNOT, I wonder how you can hang it not on the knot. I'm still waiting for someone to post a photo of a whoopie sling on the toggle.

Another option is to use a carabiner for the "toggle", in which case you can attach directly to the carabiner.

+1 like the Camp U.S.A. Nano carabiner.
