    Agreed

it looks good, reall good in fact-best of so many worlds unless you are allergic to down.
I know I've seen quotes on home much say Primaloft 1 will absorb waterwise and it seems its something like 1 percent. So I wonder how much this new down will absorb and over what time period. One thing to dunk it and pull it out, another to let is slowly soak up over say 10 hours.
I know one manufacturer of jackets --Brooks Range-- has this new down in some of their products and they don't seem like a huge patagonia or marmotlike production house but I could be mistaken.

I think underground quilts has an option this is very neatly the same thing under another brand name.

He offers hydrophobic down. I don't think it is totally water proof, i.e will keep you warmed if completely soaked. But it sheds more water and dries quicker. My understanding is that there is an advantage on multi-day trips where a quilt never really gets to vent moisture collected at night.

Sierra Designs just came out with Dri-Down which looks to be the wave of the future in Down. How quickly will it get to the hammock world is hard to say. I'm sure right now the cost is way to high to make it worth wild.

What's the difference between resist down, down tek, and dri down? Just the name?

Not much difference between the several water resistant downs. Notice I used water resistant and not water proof, the intention of these products is not to creat a water proof down but to add a water resistant coating to the fibers. I contacted Down Tek while doing research for hydrophobic downs and they are not making it available in the US at this time for bulk purchase.
