I am 220 and 6'2" and my single layer does fine.
Poof and MedicineMan have one I think that is double layered...Be careful of the m50...I made one of the M90 tafetta and it ripped in a couple of places,,also made one of M 90 ripstop,,and its perfect as the ripstop is stronger. However,,I weigh 170 and lanky,,but what a lay and the feel of the fabric!!! Awesome hanging with it and use it occasionally but into the Bridge Hammocks for now.

I have over 6 hangs in my M50 hammock. Its the bomb. I'm 175lbs. 6 hangs is not much but really i don't even think about it anymore. Its just the go to hammock now. I think any hammock could rip, I just try to be careful setting it up, not to let it drag on the ground and get snagged on something. It weighs so little its fun to carry in the ol' pack
If single layers are holding 175 no problem, lots of guys are doing it now it seems. I would think a double layer would hold 275 or more easy.
My plan if it ever rips is to sew gossgrain or ripstop in strips length wise to reinforce it.
just a follow up.... I have over 25 nights in the M5-oh!!! what a great fabric!!!
