Here's a link to solo overnite trip I took back in October. This was in the northern section of Shenandoah National Park, which is near Front Royal, Virginia. This was in mid-October but at 2000 feet it still got pretty cold overnite!
I included a shot of my suspension details - I stole that "line locker" idea from slacklining! It locks both the working and tag ends of the line, either end can carry weight. The webbing is Bluewater climb-spec webbing, 1 inch wide and rated at 4,000 lbs. There is no knot, just the ring and carabiner.

Now that it's even colder I have switched to using a Clark NX-250 hammock because you can completely enclose yourself.
