what about a warmer set of quilts?
....moving to Miami...
already has a thermostat, put it outside it stays on put it under you down it shuts off.i dont think you would need the inverter, but im not sure.put it between your u q and the hammock right down the middle, held with little squares of stick on velcro, 1 strip.would save power through the night then when temp goes below 32 it kicks on and off.i bet they make d c tapes too.battery would be a little heavy but ive carried a wheat light coon hunting all night many ,many times.its doable.an under cover to keep the wind from taking the heat from your down to conserve power.if you make a million with the idea dibs on half lol.you could rig your inverter on your vehicle battery, plug in your charger then you could recharge the 6 volt if you come back to your car to resupply,or have two batteries one in the charger all the time.the short hike special....better yet charge both on the way to the trail same way, with engine running, then you wont worry about running your battery down with the charger.

If you are considering solar power, you must be desiring to stay in one place long enough to benefit from the passive solar collection.
You might, therefor, be interested in passive solar water heating. You can collect an amazing amount of heat in the dead of winter.

Time honored hot water bottle is a blessing.
The large heat pads 6x8 that last 8-12 hours work super fine under the pevic area.
And of course adequate winter UQ and TQ.

Sharpen up your Google skills and search - 12 volt heating pad (or incubator pad, or reptile warmer, etc.).
Another product.
I suspect you're going to need a big battery.
