If you wake up at Mt. Rodgers on Sunday morning and find that tarp gone, and FishinFinn gone too, then there is no reason to go poking around in my duffle bag.

But what if I wake up at Mt. Rogers and the tarp is there, but FishinFinn and Grizz are gone? ... wait, this is waaaay too confusing...
The 5 tie-outs on each side will make for some cool options in pitching this tarp. I've ordered some grip-clips this morning so that I can close the ends (ala Grizz's Poor Man's Hammock Hut). With the middle tie-out on the sides, I can actually see pitching similarly to the JRB Hammock Hut. Can't wait to get outside with it to see what I can come up with. The basement is too small for much of that.
I had been searching for this color silnylon for a very long time, and then I got the chance to buy some. So glad I had the resources to buy when the opportunity arose. I'm also very glad I gave it over to Brian to work with. He really likes this material too.
I've still got a very small bit of it and I'm trying to figure out what to make with it. My original thought was a blackbishop sack. How much sil does one need to make snakeskins? (off to research this).
If you found your favorite color sil but were only allowed to buy 3 yards of it, what would you make with it?

If we are both gone, and the tarp is still there, someone might be too light of a sleeper..... I guess if we are removing the tarp and the snoring stops, we'll have to make a run for it.
And had the skill to do it? A lightweight down jacket for layering, like the Montbell jackets that everyone seems to have.
Silnylon down jacket? That's an interesting idea. We'd have to check with Youngblood about sensitive vs. insensitive perspiration, vapor barriers, and so on.
