Can't wait to put all my gear together and Winter hang! Last time I joined the Michigan group and slept in my car. It was fun and inspirational!

its fun when the set up works!!!
the 5-oh is crazy light. 5oz I think. I made mine 9.5 ft to start with. gathered up its around 9ft its by far my most comfy hammock
you know what the say about new lows.... they need to be beat lol
my incubator is stock. I would say I'm average. I don't sleep hot for sure.

teens in FL. I had no idea it got that cold.
I know crazy huh. my wife sure gets a kick out of it...
sleeping in the car is no fun!!! hanging in the cold is a blast though
My friends think I'm a bit daft for even wanting to go hiking in the winter, let alone hammock camp. I just did one in the high 30s (laughable to some of you, I know) and am aiming for a hang when there's snow on the ground. That will be an adventure for sure!

Winter is nearly here: Big Sandy WY minus 18F at 0800, current temp zero F.
If you don't mind me dragging this slightly off topic -- what model & brand thermometer are you using? I'm looking for something along the lines of the one you pictured...
Or if anyone else wants to chime in with suggestions, that would be appreciated!
Thanks!
I have the same one - it works well and is cheap (under$10). It's an Acu-Rite:
